Wawasan Hukum Nusantara is again holding a National Webinar with the theme "Introduction to Health Law" which was interviewed directly by a Legal Expert and expert Doctor who serves as Consultant for Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgeon at RSPAD Gatot Soebroto Jakarta.
This webinar was attended by around 80 participants, the majority of whom were medical personnel and health workers. Also present at the Wbinar was Maj. Gen. TNI (Ret.) Dr. Dr. Catur Susantra who is the former Kakommed RSPAD Gatot Subroto.
The discussion of material regarding the introduction of Health Law was very straightforward and in-depth presented by Dr. Andreas. One of them discusses the importance of ethics and morals that must be upheld in carrying out the duties of the medical and health professions.
The webinar also discussed various misperceptions and justifications that occur by the public without confirming and knowing the real root of the problems that occur in the field for medical and health workers. "Before justifying an incident in the health sector, the public should first ascertain the real root of the problem so that there are no wild opinions in the community that blame medical or health officials for carrying out their duties," said Dr. Andreas.
In the webinar held on Saturday 3 February 2024 at 08.00-10.00 WIB, Dr. Andreas also showed a video about the struggles of doctors and health workers who were carrying out surgical operations who looked very professional, full of care and sincerity in providing the best service to patients without distinguishing between the social status of the patients themselves.
After the presentation of the material was finished, a question and answer session took place. One of the participants asked "why do conflicts or wild opinions often develop in the community about services at hospitals which tend to be less friendly"?
"Dr. Andreas then explained that conditions in the field are sometimes not well understood by the public, such as conditions where doctors and nurses who carry out their duties all day of course have conditions where medical and health personnel experience physical fatigue. This is what is then often misinterpreted as meaning that officers medical and health care is less friendly to patients."
Not to mention the situation, sometimes the patient's family is also too hasty in justifying it and some have even beaten medical and health personnel. This is what is then discussed in depth through a webinar introducing health law and will be discussed every week on Saturdays by Dr. Andreas.
The topics that will be discussed include:
1. Introduction to Health Law
2. Medical Ethics Norms
3. Medical Discipline Norms
4. Contractual Therapy
4. Informed Consent
5. Medical Risks and Medical Negligence
6. Medical Malpractice
7. Law No. 17 of 2023 concerning Health
8. Settlement of Medical Disputes using non-litigation channels
9. Legal Protection for Medical Personnel and Health Personnel.
10. Capita Selecta.
Through these ongoing webinars, it is hoped that medical and health personnel and the entire community can understand the various problems that occur in society related to health law. With the hope that sharing misperceptions, wild opinions and slander against medical and health personnel can be avoided by understanding the legal aspects of health law itself.
